About Cindy
Cindy is an award-winning real estate broker with nearly 20 years of experience. She joined Koenig & Strey Real Estate in 2004, which became Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago in 2013. She is the team lead of the C+S Group, in partnership with her longtime colleague Stephanie Biederman.
Cindy is consistently recognized as a top agent in the company and was awarded the Chairman's Circle Platinum Award for sales of more than $22 million, recognizing her in the top 1% of BHHS nationwide. She was also awarded the Highest Individual Sales Award in her office of more than 250 agents. She was named a top producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors, was featured in Chicago magazine's "Best of the Best 2022" issue, "Who's Who in Chicagoland Residential Real Estate" in Chicago Agent magazine, and was named one of BHHS Chicago's "Best of the Best" in 2022.
Her prior career in public relations and corporate communications was invaluable for preparing Cindy to work in partnership with her clients. "I listen carefully to determine my clients' short-term needs and understand their long-term dreams. Recognizing and staying focused on their priorities throughout the transaction is the most important service I can offer. It's immensely rewarding to know that I've helped my clients find their dream home or transition to the next chapter in their lives." She has been praised by clients for her professionalism, negotiating skills and expertise in assisting buyers and for marketing her listings.
Originally from the East Coast, Cindy has lived in Chicago for more than 30 years and is a resident of Lincoln Park. She graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. She also studied in London during college and was a Rotary International exchange student to Austria while in high school. An avid reader, she met some of her closest friends in Chicago through a book club when she moved here from Washington, DC. In the 1990s, she was a member of the Junior League of Chicago and participated in the league’s popular reading program for children. Traveling to Chicago Public Libraries in neighborhoods throughout the city proved to be the perfect introduction for assisting buyers with their home searches. She has volunteered with many other organizations, most recently helping to build homes with Habitat for Humanity in the West Pullman neighborhood. She has also volunteered with and supported Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry), Feeding America, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and Friends for the Cure, which raises funding for diabetes research at the University of Chicago Medicine Kovler Diabetes Center. When she's not touring homes with clients or showcasing a listing to prospective buyers, Cindy can usually be found on the tennis court, the ski slopes or walking on the lakefront. Her “happy place” is a beach near her family’s home on Cape Cod, MA.
